Dharma talk given by Robert Reese at the Sacramento Buddhist Meditation Group.
Robert Reese began practicing Zen in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi in 1987. He has been a chaplain for the past 11 years, with practices at the Monterey County Jail, Heartland Hospice and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. An ordained Soto Zen priest with the Monterey Bay Zen Center in Carmel, he leads classes, workshops and sittings for the community. Born and raised in Sacramento, he has written for Parabola, Zen Quarterly and for the Best Spiritual Writing 2001, an anthology, Philip Zaleski, editor. He received dharma transmission from Katherine Thanas in 2010. Robert's sister Barbara is a longtime member of SBMG.
